I shot mylar streamers (starts at 2:06 and again at 2:51) for the Clouds Choir for a Cause at the Mall of America Rotunda on December 14th, 2018. This is an annual event that is used to raise money for Children’s Cancer Research Fund and Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare. It was estimated that there was over 8,000 people in attendance at this years event and over $603,000 was raised. Zach’s Story: If you’re not familiar with Zach’s story, KS95 first introduced Zach Sobiech, a 17 year-old teen from Stillwater at the “KS95 for Kids” Radiothon benefiting Children’s Cancer Research Fund and Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare in December 2012. Zach bravely battled osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer, since his diagnosis at age 14. Thru his battle, Zach turned to music, writing and performing songs as a way to say goodbye to his friends and family. Zach passed away on May 20, 2013, but left us with his hit song “Clouds”. “Clouds” has had over 13 million views on YouTube, was the #1 song on KS95, #1 selling song on iTunes, and has garnered worldwide attention. In May 2013, SoulPancake, a media company, released a documentary about Zach Sobiech and his life for their series, My Last Days.
