Hand Firing PPE

Figured I would share some ideas for hand firing safety. Feel free to add to the list or share your thoughts!

This is based on what I wear and suggest at a MINIMUM. I know everyone does things slightly differently:

1. Hard Hat
2. Good quality ear plugs
3. Sturdy boots
4. Good quality safety glasses
5. Jeans
6. Leather gloves / welding gloves
7. Welding Jacket (I got mine at Tractor Supply for $30)

8. Nomex Hood


One thing to note is to wear 100% cotton clothing, not blended fabric.

I would also add a headlamp … decent ones can be found for as low as $10 online and in many stores.
I also happen to carry bug repellent, as the last thing you need is to be distracted by biting insects while working with pyro.
Those are my 2 additions, or my 2-cents.
