I got a PGI cert. a few years ago, most everyone in my class of 30 people passed the cert. test. I heard, possibly incorrectly, that no one passed the cert. test at the class held at 2019 PGI. This was the newly revised PGI course and manual. If anyone was there, I'd be interested in why such a high failure rate? To be clear, I don't intend or need to take the class again, it's not an accepted credential in Texas or Oklahoma.
I checked, per PGI Bulletin May 2019 pg. 3, the Display Operators Certification Course had a new exam & answer key. Maybe the 7th edition manual didn't change. From PGI Dec. 2019, there were 64 paid class attendee's, hard to believe no one passed. I surmise maybe I just heard an isolated individual complain they didn't pass, but if was a large number, perhaps the new test is harder than the old one. Anyone taking the class might want to pay a little bit closer attention just in case.
I took the PGI Display Operators Certification Course in Gillette last year as a refresher. I hadn't taken it for a little more than a decade.
There were no changing of answers allowed as you're implying coachtimmyj. The course was taken very seriously & was a true class & test.
I know for a fact that quite a few people did fail the test. But no, most of us did pass. I feel the class has been improved since I took it a decade ago.
