So, how did it go?

Now that we've made it through the weekend and maybe even had some time to sleep how do you think it went? Anything you'll do differently next year? Things you weren't sure how they'd go that worked better than expected?

For me it was a pretty positive year. Had 100% fire for the first time ever. Also my audience liked the new viewing location further away from the shoot ramps. I'm still not 100% convinced the new PA packed enough punch to make it worth the cost but I'm still waiting on feedback. The big one for me was that the audience seemed to really like my "less is more" attitude for the majority of my show. I'll for sure be taking that idea forward into next year and trying to refine it further.

How about you?

Our third man could not make it at the last minute due to a serious family emergency, so two of us spent 12 hours setting up the show. It's a durn good thing the boss dropped off the product at 8AM! And that was with a shoot trailer so we didn't have to build any rack pods... No fun, but a good show.

Mine was a 1.4 neighborhood show I put on annually. Got all setup in nice weather as I start the show rain rain ran for s good 20 min got some stuff covered but still all fuse got wet. All the boards but two didn’t fully go off so ended up lighting about 80% of the product individually. Show went over the by about 20 min. End of the day every loved it, but me lol.
Lessons learned for next time.
1. Must have more plastic
2. Firing system is a must
3. Build racks and lots of them
4. Get a helper, not just a bunch of drinkers lol
