COBRA question on cobra series/parallel wiring

I'm hoping someone here may know how an 18m with a slat adapter is wired. I understand that in a series slat/cable setup that there is a shunt to the slat at the end of the line. That being said I wonder about the relationship between the onboard cues and the slats. If I'm running cables and slats in series plugged into the slat adapter on the 18m, are the onboard cues also in series or are they parallel?

I am 99% sure that the onboard cues are in parallel with the slat adapter, so you would not need to shunt the onboard cues. You would only need to terminate the last series slat, as well as shunt any partially used cues on the slats when using multiple slats (i.e. if using cue 1 only on one of multiple slats, cue 1 on all other slats would need to be shunted/shorted). Nothing would need to be shunted/shorted on the onboard cues.
Others, please correct me if I am wrong, and feel free to explain more clearly than I have. :)

Thanks, that's what I thought but wasn't sure and this will be my first year using slats so I wanted to make sure prior to setting up.

I think it depends on whether your slats are series or parallel.
My 36s slats are series and I have to have something in the same pin (cue#) on the module and the slat or I won’t get continuity, nor will the cue fire.

So my setup requires a shut(wire or led) in the empty cues not being used.

I sent Scott an email asking how to use them in finale business.

show the slats and 36M module(5 position front using 36m and 4 series slats) it assumes the slats are modules so the firing cue count is wrong
