Is the an adaptor to use 32ch renegade or Ace style slats with Cobra 18m or 36m? Obviously I’m going to end up underutilize something, but I’m in transition between my sparkfire and my Cobra and wanted to see if I could get away with using my 4 32ch slats and hundreds of feet of cable.
Thanks!

After a little research, I’ll be more specific. Can I use a DB25 to CN 36 adaptor to drive 18 of the 32 cues on a slat?

You can definitely make a cable adapter to do it. You might check with Scott/Cobra to see what they already have available. (They have some things that are not yet on the website.) I haven't seen any cables that go from DB25 to CN36 (but that doesn't mean they don't exist). I believe they have Pro-Adapt plates with CN36 connectors.

I believe the Dominator show shot at Cobra Con used some 36Ms connecting to Ace 32 cue CN36 slats. (You can see them in some of Dominators or other videos of Cobra Con setup.)

I don't know if they have any creative way of handling the odd numberings. I believe at this time the Cobra might still see it as 2 banks of 18. So you're numbering for the higher cues will be a little weird. Like Bank A could be 1-18, then bank B cue 1 might be cue 19 on the slat or something.

I don't know how the 36M is pinned out.
The renegade is pinned out like an acepyro slat.

pins 1 thru 16 are cues 1 thru 16
pins 19 thru 34 are cues 17 thru 32
pins 17,18,36.36 are negative side of the battery or ground

I don't know how the cn36 port on a 36M is pinned out.

Just to be clear, a traditional Cobra 36M uses a 50 pin Centronics CN50 cable. (Not a CN36 like Ace/Fireone/Renegade.) On a 32 Cue system, the 36 pin cable allows for 4 ground/common wires.

They might have some pro-adapt plates or seahorse case options that do use the 32 cue slats. (They just don't list any on the website yet.)

Good evening, I’m running a 72m with onboard cues, Scott has a 50 pin to 36 pin adaptor that will let you run the renegade slats, you get the first 16 on one bank and 16 on the other.
