I put on my first fused board show earlier this year and am slowly ramping up my game. Getting ready to invest in the FireTek 16x64 as soon as they get it posted. I’ve always been a pyro at heart but never had the community connections or resources for it. Ironically, now that I can actually afford to do some cool stuff I live in a state that’s not firework friendly, but considering applying for my Type 54 anyway to get access to some 1.4Pro purchasing. Here to learn and have fun.

Hi @CozmicRooster. Fellow fireTEK user here. I started with a FTH-48E module a number of years ago when I "ramped up my game" It was a blast! - no regrets. The new FTQ module is going to be great. Yep - I hope the website is out soon, too.

Here is my first FTH module "A" along with a prototype of the FTQ module "B" and a bunch of other module (they some how reproduce over the years  ) - this was after last years 4th.

I just posted a link to the YT page on another post under the firing systems section of this forum - here is another video (I put together a video for a webinar earlier in the year and was able to inflict some abuse on a prototype of the FTQ module (item "B" eventually used on the 4th of July) - highlights of my testing are shown in this fireTEK video).

It's a bit of overkill to get a Type 54 just to buy 1.4Pro. I suggest you take a state or PGI class. I live in Texas, you could get Texas SEO(1.4G/close proximate) license without any sign-off's and use it as a credential for buying 1.4Pro. You'd have to come to Texas to take the test but the BBQ is excellent here...seriously, there's probably PGI classes offered near you.

Thanks for the tip. That was an option I was looking into. Thinking about joining MOPyro since they seem to be reasonably close and probably have access to such events and classes.

Welcome to the forum! You definitely cannot go wrong by joining a club. We have some of their members on here that you can talk to about joining and maybe even help out with Sky Wars next year.

Pyro clubs are great and I highly recommend joining one. I’m in WI and belong to the WPAG club and I also attend the PGI conventions and SkyWars formerly Pyromania.
