I'm a pyrotechnician living in Port Moody, BC (West Coast). In addition to doing displays such as Canada Day and New Year's Eve, I also work on Celebration of Light, and am an instructor for both display fireworks and FX pyro through the Explosives Regulatory Division which handles certification in Canada.
I also work in the motion picture industry doing special effects, but I definitely blow up more stuff doing fireworks displays.
